Abstract

Abstract

With continuous progress in science and technology, we are facing more problems too. One of the biggest problems is the allocation or decomposition of materials when they come to their end i.e., the waste materials. In this study, we employed plastics and glass waste, as well as organic wastes, and eggshells, to test the influence of casting and melting procedures on ordinary concrete bricks in this research. As per the results, the density of the brick reduces to ~20% when the cement is replaced with 10% ESP and 20% GP and 86% when replaced with 25% plastic in the sand (PolySand Bricks), whereas the durability of all the compositions came under the heavy load-bearing bricks category (~6%). Furthermore, the 10% ESP-based bricks show the maximum compressive strength (~18%), whereas the 25% Plastic replaced PolySand bricks showed (~9%) strength, which makes them suitable for use in pavements.
