Abstract

Abstract

In this study, detailed characterization studies were performed in terms of physical, chemical, mineralogical and electrokinetic properties of Kastamonu Kure copper ore samples and the circularity, roundness and solidity values of the ore were defined within the scope of particle shape factor studies. The moisture content of the sample was 0.0086%, the density was 4.96 gr/cm3, d50 and d80 sizes were respectively found to be 2.32 mm and 4.48 mm. As a result of the ICP-OES analyses, it was detected that the sample contained 4.24% Cu. It was sighted that the sample contained amesite, quartz, pyrite and chalcopyrite by XRD results. When the EDS analysis results were examined, an average of 6.95% Cu content for the 1st photo, 5.36% for the 2nd photo, 7.35% for the 3rd photo and 11.76% for the 4th photo was determined. Within the scope of polish section studies, it has been sighted that copper is in the form of chalcopyrite mineral, pseudomorph, ridged, very high, in the form of fine crystalline and that the cube system was crystallized.
